Policy

Sales and returns.

These terms cover orders placed directly with Spence Heritage Press. Books bought through Amazon or another retailer are governed by that retailer's policy, not this one.

Quotes: Quotes are itemized and valid for thirty days from the date issued. Shipping is shown as a separate line. Nothing is charged and nothing ships until you approve the quote or issue a purchase order against it.
Purchase orders: We accept purchase orders from schools, districts, government agencies, licensed care communities, and established nonprofits. Send the PO referencing the quote number. A W-9 is furnished on request, before or after the PO.
Payment terms: Net 30 from the invoice date. We accept check and ACH. Invoices past sixty days may pause further shipments until the account is current.
Bulk pricing: Twelve or more copies is $9.99 per book. Fifty or more is $8.99 per book. Tiers apply to the total order and may be mixed across any titles in the catalog. The SEL Collection is $59.99 for the five-title set.
Delivery: Delivery within Westchester County, New York is free and is often made in person by the publisher. Orders outside that area ship from our print partner and shipping is quoted before you approve. Lead times vary with print volume and are stated on the quote.
Returns: Direct institutional orders are firm sale and non-returnable. Our books are printed to order, so a returned copy cannot be resold. Please confirm titles and quantities on the quote before issuing a PO.
Damaged or defective copies: Replaced at no charge. Tell us within thirty days of delivery and send a photo of the problem. We do not need the damaged copy back.
Shortages and errors: If a shipment arrives short or wrong against the packing list, contact us within thirty days and we will correct it at our cost.
Cancellation: An order may be cancelled at no cost any time before it enters production. Once printing has begun, cancellation is not possible.
Pricing changes: List and bulk prices may change. Any quote already issued is honored at the quoted price for its full thirty-day validity.
